Revealing Accurate Diagnoses with CBCT

A demonstration of the power of 3D imaging to gain clarity in diagnoses and accurately communicate with a multi-disciplinary team.

Dr. LaCouvée was confident in his decision to refer his patient, who exhibited moderate posterior bone loss with generalized recession, for endodontic and periodontic treatment.

However, when the patient returned several months later with progressing bone loss, he knew he needed more information.

You’ll see:

  • The original 2D scans that led Dr. LaCouvée to recommend nonsurgical treatment
  • The 3D scan and subsequent analysis that led him to pivot and send his patient straight to an oral surgeon for extractions and bone grafting
  • The ways in which Dr. LaCouvée used his 3D scan to collaborate with a broader team to gain clarity in diagnoses and create a clear and comprehensive treatment plan
